Chaotic Christmas
Day 27

Tonight I am posting about a project I made for Nathaniel's room!!  When he was born, I needed a cute place to store some of his books so I could read to him at night!!  I had painted the tree on the wall and wanted something besides a shelf!  I found a really cool old shutter at an antique store and made it into a book "holder!"
I sanded it down and hung it!!  I was going to repaint it but it turned out that it looked GREAT with our colors in his room!!!

Just proves that TRASH can become a TREASURE!!!

LOVE it!!

Day 25

Tonight I am posting the recipe for the

MONSTER MUNCH
Recipe inspired by ourbestbites

1 package Almond Bark (1 lb)
2 large bags microwave popcorn popped
1 Cup candy corn
1 Cup dry roasted, salted peanuts
1 Cup Reeces Pieces
Pop popcorn and place in a large bowl. Much larger than you think you need. The largest you have. It will make mixing easier! Pour peanuts, candy corn, and reeces pieces on top.Take a large knife and break up almond bark. Melt according to package directions. I just chop it up a little and microwave it in intervals until smooth and melted.
Pour over popcorn mixture.Stir until everything is well coated and then spread out onto waxed paper, parchment, or foil. Let sit until completely dry and then break up into clumps.
This recipe can be made into some really cute packages for teachers gifts or party favors!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Chaotic Christmas
Day 23

WHEW.....This has been a LOOOONG week!!  ;)  I have committed myself to so many things that I totally forgot that I had to come up with something for MC's dance class party!!
The holiday season's can be VERY expensive and overwhelming!!  When I realized that I had forgotten I decided to run to Walmart (our version of a MALL) and see what I could come up with!!  What I found was a very UNEXPECTED surprise!  Have you seen the new aisle that they have that I am thinking is supposed to be comparable to Target's $1 aisle??  Well....IT'S NOT but in a pinch it has some pretty cute stuff!!  I had 15 little girls to buy for so I was trying not to spend much!!  I found the cutest little stamp set and I just got GIDDY!!!!!

They were 0.97!!!!  WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!
I took them home and stamped a little note on some Halloween paper, cut it out with pinking shears and then tied them on with some ribbon!!  To finish it off, I glued a pumpkin to the center of the bow!!!

CHEAP but CUTE!!!!!!

See you tomorrow for day 24!!!!

"Sweet" Little Girls

As some of you know, MC has been having some trouble on the playground with this certain little girl!!  She keeps coming up to MC and telling her that she is NOT cute and that her clothes are NOT cute!  This is all new to me and I am having a hard time!!  We had a talk with her tonight and reiterated the fact that she IS cute and she is AWESOME!!!  BUT also, in the same breath, that she should NEVER be ugly to the little girl or anyone else for that fact!  We told her to tell the little girl that she is not being nice and walk away!!
I love MC more than anything and I want her to grow and be a sweet and caring young lady!  I just have to pray that we are teaching her through our actions and talking to her about these things!  My worst fear is that I find out that she is acting this way to someone!!  I do not think that she would act that way but I sure do not want to be a parent that NEVER thinks her child does any wrong!!
I want my baby girl to hang on to her sweet innocence and not have to face these heartaches at such a young age!!
I know that I tend to get all out of wack when everything does not go smoothly!!  I also, tend to be a little  dramatic BUT when it comes to my kids THAT IS JUST THE WAY IT IS!!!!!!!!

PRAYING!!!!

Day 21

TASTY TUESDAY!

Tonight I am giving a recipe that I have LOVED for years!!!  It is funny that it comes from a Dad of a friend in high school!!  This is Joe Russ' Dad's recipe!!  It is SOOOOOOO good!!!

STUFFED BELL PEPPERS

1 lb Hamburger meat
1/2 onion
salt, pepper, garlic to taste
1 jar of Cheese Whiz
1 can rotel
1 can cream of mushroom
1 pck boil in a bag rice COOKED

Brown meat, onion and spices!  Add all of the other ingredients and let simmer for 10-15 minutes!  If you feel that it is too thick you can add some more rotel!  Sometimes I add two cans but just dependent upon my mood!  Then take your bell peppers and clean them out!  Then scoop the mixture into the peppers!!  Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bake 30-45 minutes until tender!!
DO NOT use velveeta!!  It will not taste the same and it is not good!!  You can also use the MILD rotel if your family does not like spicy!!

This recipe is a MUST TRY!!!  Please give me your feedback!!!

I am really looking forward to the upcoming weeks when I start decorating for CHRISTMAS!!!

See you tomorrow for
DAY 22!!!
