It is AMAZING to me how BLOGGING connects you with so many people that you would NEVER know or have the pleasure of meeting!!! I am introducing you today to an amazing woman that has a wonderful talent of making jewelry!!! You guys go check her out!!! ;)
I’d like to thank Randee for inviting me to be a guest on her blog. My name is Oksana which means “hospitality” in Greek. I moved to US 10 years ago. I started blogging about a year ago, because I wanted to stay connected with my family in Russia. My Mom and sister have a “ritual”: every Saturday, they meet and read my blog together. As I continue to blog, I am making so many new wonderful friends in the blogosphere from all over the world. It’s fascinating to read about their life, hobbies, and much more.
In my blog, I write about my life in the states, and also about my hobbies. I love all kinds of different crafts, and especially jewelry. When I create my jewelry, I like to experiment with different materials and designs. This holiday season, I am making 10 Christmas necklaces, mostly, because it is so much fun. You can see them in my blog: Oksana Plus Hobbies
Here are my favorite ones so far:
Winter Carnations: in this piece, I am using brass chain (it does not tarnish), lace flowers (I love lace), and red and white crystal glass beads. The design is simple, but festive, and easy to wear.
Poinsettia: this design has something of a Russian folk art in it. I had a lot of fun making the crocheted beads and a felt flower. Also it’s very easy to wear.
If you’d like to see more of my jewelry creations, please visit my recently opened Etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/oksanai1 I have several pairs of cute dangling earrings and a couple of necklaces. I believe that jewelry should be affordable, elegant, tasteful and comfortable to wear. Thank you for reading. Hope to “see” you in my shop and blog. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and happy holidays. Yours, Oksana.
