My Journey from HEFTY to HOTTIE!!!

I am opening up today about my weight gain since taking the 2 rounds of steroids!!  I am MISERABLE!!  I weigh 160 lbs and I feel every EXTRA pound!!  I normally weigh around 145!  I needed to lose about 5 lbs before the steroids and now I am beyond RIDICULOUS!! I am going to weigh myself every Monday and let you know my weight loss for the week!
I have NEVER had to watch one thing that went into my mouth!  I eat cookies, cake, candy and my major weakness is snowballs!!  I can eat a whole pack walking around Wal-mart!!  This is going to be really hard and that is why I am putting it out there for all of you to see!!  You guys can hold me accountable!!
I already run but I have not been running lately!  The whole thing that started this whole downward spiral was 2 bulging discs in my lower back!!  If you were following me when I was doing the exercises that I found on Pinterest, then you saw where I just dropped off with the posts about it!  Well, I had back pain and 2 MRI's!  Then I had the Bell's Palsy!!  Hence, 2 rounds of steroids and here I am 15 lbs over weight!!!

Here is my plan....I am following Michael Hammond's 6 Week Body Makeover for food!  Then I am running 3 times a week and getting my upper body workout from Fit With Brit!  She is an AWESOME inspiration!!  She has MS and looks great!!  I love the site and all the options and variety she offers in her workouts!!  Most workouts are 20 minutes but I swear I can barely lift my arms when I am done!!!  Also, she is so sweet that she emails me and checks on me!!  She answers all of my questions and has been a tremendous support as far as the steroid weight!!  She has been through steroids, too!!  If you are looking for 1 on 1 support and fun workouts, check her out!!!

So, as of this am, I weigh 160lbs!!!  INSANE...
I can not believe that I am telling everyone my weight BUT there it is!!!  We shall see how this week goes on my journey from
HEFTY TO HOTTIE!!!! ;)

I will post a menu of what I am eating for the next 5 days!!! :)

  2. as you know, I've been on my own weight loss journey. You want me to tell you what I weighed and where I'm heading? I'm not ashamed if your not! Steroids are great when you need them, but man, they pack on the lbs! You ROCK Randee! and I love you! :0)

We hold a Weight Loss Wednesday blog series each week about our weightloss journey! It would be cool for you to share a snidbit about your journey too one day if you are interested! it's fun to find people on the same path as you working hard to get healthier and in a place where you feel good about yourself! Thanks for being real and vulnerable on here!

  8. Ha... I have a post waiting to post (I have to get the nerve for the "before" photos first.) I suddenly inexplicably started gaining weight just over a year ago, even though I was teaching fitness classes 5 days a week. After gaining 50 pounds and being heavier than I have ever been )even 9 months pregnant with ANY of my five kids!), I started going to the Dr who told me everything was 'within normal range' all the while, I was gaining MORE weight. I am beyond distressed and frustrated... and I had tried EVERYTHING that I could find and yet I kept gaining.

Last week I went grain free and lost four pounds, and a lot of 'bloat' and intense digestive issues. I'm going to start blogging about it... so you've given me some new incentive.

  9. Hey Randee!! I've been catching up with your posts, and just read this one. I didn't realize you've been doing Fit With Brit! Good for you!! I've been with her for 9 weeks now, and LOVE it! Although I'm usually a little nervous each time, because she pushes me so hard, but her workouts are amazing, and I love that I can send her an email any time. and with me and my headaches, working out helps a ton.... I've also been doing weight watchers on my own to lose the baby weight, and I've lost 15 with Brit's help, and have 15 more to go, we have the same goal weight, you and I! :) the drugs I'm on for my headaches also caused a lot of weight gain, so I'm fighting through that too. Sucks! But we can do it girl! Way to go!!
    xoxo, Leanne
