No Sew Rug

Good morning!!  It is BEAUTIFUL here in Oklahoma!!!  We are headed outside to play but wanted to get this post up!!  Be sure to read the end so you can read about my "OHHHH, M, GEEEE" moment!!

Ok...I needed a rug for our laundry room and did not want to spend an arm and a leg!!  ;)  Plus I could not find a rug in a pattern that I really liked!!  SOOOO, I went to Walmart and bought a $3.97 rug, ran to Bargain Shack and bought a couple of yards of a cute fabric for $3.95 a yard and ran home to make my rug!

I took the fabric and measured and cut to the size I needed to cover the rug!!  I sprayed the rug with spray adhesive and they laid the fabric on top of it!!  I started one one end and worked my way to the other end to make sure it was smooth!!  Then turned it over and hot glued the fabric to the back of the rug!!  Then to make sure it was really secure, I taped down the edges with duct tape!!  

Hot glued some rick rack around the edge and WOOO HOOOO...a FANTASTIC rug!!!

moment!!

MC was in the bathroom last night going POOP!!  (sorry but you must know this for the full effect!!)  So she was in there for quite a while and her daddy tells her to hurry up and come out!!  So here she comes beeeboppin out of the bathroom with a

BAG of LAY'S POTATO CHIPS in tow!!!!

OHHHHHHHH, M, GEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Are you serious??  Are you kidding me???  Todd and I both are staring at her then staring at each other!!  "MC....did you have the chips in the bathroom with you???  WHILE you were pooping??"  MC "YEAH....?????"  COMPLETE confusion on her face!!!!!  I am now gagging and thinking how many chips have I eaten after they have been in the poopy bathroom with her!!!!  GAWWWWWWWWW..........

After explaining, I am pretty sure she is thinking we have completely lost our minds and REALLY....what is the BIG DEAL???  ;)

Kids......never cease to amaze!!  And NOT always in a good way!!!  :o
