Day 30

Since obviously I do not seem to be able to keep up with the days of the week, I am posting a
TASTY TUESDAY recipe!!!  LOL!!!!
This is a recipe that our church makes every year for the
First United Methodist Women's Fall Festival!!
If you like chicken and dressing, you will love this recipe and it is once again....SUPER, DUPER EASY!!!!

2 boxes of Chicken flavored Stove Top Stuffing
1 large fryer, cooked and cut up
1 cup chopped celery
2 Tbsp minced onion
1 1/2 cups frozen peas (rinsed and drained)
1 can cream of chicken
1 can cream of celery
1 cup milk

Mix stuffing according to directions.  Pat 1/2 mixture into a 9x13 pan, covering the bottom.  Save the remaining 1/2 to sprinkle on top!  Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the stuffing!  Sprinkle the rest of the stuffing mix over the top.  Bake 350 for about 30 minutes!  Allow to set a few minutes!
When I make it for my family, I leave the peas out!!

ENJOY!!

See you tomorrow for

Day 29

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas!!!  It is my VERY MOST FAVORITE time of the year!!!!  It makes me HAPPY!!!! (Not that I am not always HAPPY, it just makes me REALLY HAPPY!)

I already have a room going with all of the presents and wrapping!!!  It dawned on me that MC is starting to get to the age where we have to be really careful about hiding the presents!!  I haven't ever really worried about it until this year!!  Nathaniel keeps pointing down the hall to the door and asking if that is where his "IMAGINEXT" is????  Now that is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!  Ok...maybe to me!!  ;)
I decided this year to make it a FUN, SECRET place!!  I have the door locked but wanted to really showcase the door and add a sense EXCITEMENT about the FORBIDDEN room!!!  SOOOO, I wrapped the door and added a sign!!  I must say that it is pretty STINKIN CUTE!!!!!!

I KNOW that MC will be ECSTATIC when she gets home from church tonight!!!  She is just like me and LOVES presents!!!  :)

See you tomorrow for
DAY 30!!!!

Chaotic Christmas Day 28

Chaotic Christmas
Day 28

In today's society our children don't really know what it is like to "want" for things and really be THANKFUL!  I don't mean that they don't say "please" and "thank you" but to really KNOW what to be THANKFUL for!!  I mean things that they take for granted every day...food, clothes, heat/AC, a car, etc!!
With Thanksgiving fast approaching, I wanted to really start teaching our kids exactly what they should be thankful for and show them just how fortunate they really are!  I want my kids to learn the ART of APPRECIATION!!!
I had seen a really neat idea on a really cute blog simplyvintagegirl and decided to show our family the true meaning of the  THANKSGIVING season!!!
I made these by cutting the branches off of a dead tree and putting them in a mason jar!!  I then used my cricut to cut out some leaves and hung them on the branches!!!

Tonight we sat and asked our kids what they are THANKFUL for and Nathaniel said to me "for Loving You!!!!"
MC said she was THANKFUL for "you giving me candy and finding my doll magazine...and I love you!"

Gotta love the babies!!!  We will be doing a lot of teaching this month!!!
Come join us and let me know what your family is saying!!!

See you tomorrow for
DAY 29!!!

Day 27

Tonight I am posting about a project I made for Nathaniel's room!!  When he was born, I needed a cute place to store some of his books so I could read to him at night!!  I had painted the tree on the wall and wanted something besides a shelf!  I found a really cool old shutter at an antique store and made it into a book "holder!"
I sanded it down and hung it!!  I was going to repaint it but it turned out that it looked GREAT with our colors in his room!!!

Just proves that TRASH can become a TREASURE!!!

LOVE it!!

See you tomorrow for

Make regular cupcakes and white icing!  Then half a twinkie for the head!  I used chocolate icing for the glasses around SMARTIES for the eyes!!!  Little chocolate sprinkles for the hair!
ENJOY!!!

Day 25

Tonight I am posting the recipe for the

MONSTER MUNCH
Recipe inspired by ourbestbites

1 package Almond Bark (1 lb)
2 large bags microwave popcorn popped
1 Cup candy corn
1 Cup dry roasted, salted peanuts
1 Cup Reeces Pieces
Pop popcorn and place in a large bowl. Much larger than you think you need. The largest you have. It will make mixing easier! Pour peanuts, candy corn, and reeces pieces on top.Take a large knife and break up almond bark. Melt according to package directions. I just chop it up a little and microwave it in intervals until smooth and melted.
Pour over popcorn mixture.Stir until everything is well coated and then spread out onto waxed paper, parchment, or foil. Let sit until completely dry and then break up into clumps.
This recipe can be made into some really cute packages for teachers gifts or party favors!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
